Three girls, three different futures, but one common past. The latest performance by the Independent Theatre Hungary tells a heartbreaking and funny story about growing up, growing apart, and the invisible rubber band that pulls us back into our shared past even when we thought we had moved on.

The latest coming-of-age story by Rodrigó Balogh and Márton Illés, The Top of the Breadfruit Tree, will debut on April 18th at the FüSzi stage at 30 Páva utca; the play was directed by Rodrigó Balogh. The text was helped by the theatre’s new dramaturg, Laura Pamlényi, while the operatic musical score, well-known from previous performances, was composed by Dávid Varga and István Babindák.

On stage, the audience’s favorites, Emília Boda-Novy, Ramóna Farkas and Nóra Nemcsók, await the audience. Their explosive presence, exceptional comedic talent and captivating voice guarantee that this performance will be a lasting experience for all visitors.

The production was supported by the European Union.
