The Independent Theater Hungary team is preparing a new show for the spring! On 21 March, System Destroyers. How can a young person from a Roma village become successful? How far can an artist go before the authorities silence him? What would you do if the state interfered in your work and private life? How can a filmmaker become truly successful in an age of socialism with its watchful eyes?

The Independent Theater Hungary 2025 is launching a new theater group for young people in the spring of 2025. During the free training, participants will have the opportunity to try their hand at acting, writing, costume design and choreography, while working on the creation of a community performance. The theater group is open to young people aged 13 to 18

As part of our international initiative, we are looking for young Roma and non-Roma applicants who would like to participate in training and work together to lead workshops and create works of art. Last year, Independent Theater Hungary launched the project “Roma Heroes in Theater and Everyday Life – with Trainings and Education for Roma Youth”, which was implemented with the support of the European Union. The ambitious initiative aimed to train new trainers in the methods of holding the Roma Heroes Workshop and to provide space through two publications to present the stories of outstanding personalities who are often overlooked.

A Független Színház Magyarország lehetőséget kínál Roma Hősök workshopon való részvételre. A foglalkozást fiatalokból álló csoportoknak ajánljuk, akik magyar és különböző európai roma drámákat ismerhetnek meg. Jelentkezési határidő: 2025. január 31.

We are excited to announce a Professional Training Workshop focusing on the creation of Solo Shows (One Wo/man Shows) and an introduction to Stand-Up Comedy. Led by Valeria Campo, an experienced trainer, the workshop invites Roma and non-Roma artists, actors, and theatre practitioners to explore the intersection of comedy, theatrical storytelling, and performance.

A Független Színház csapata október 23-án, 15:30-tól vár mindenkit, legyen az gyerek vagy felnőtt, közelről vagy távolról érkező, aki szívesen részt venne egy olyan forradalmi megemlékezésen, ahol nem beszédeket hallgatunk, hanem mi magunk alkothatunk fantasztikus dolgokat. Együtt fedezzük fel, milyen gondolatok és érzelmek ébrednek bennünk a forradalom kapcsán.

Független Színház Magyarország interaktív akciószínházi előadásában az 1956-os forradalom roma hősei előtt tiszteleg a Ferencvárosi Önkormányzat szervezésében. Október 23-án három előadásra kerül sor a Ferenc téren, melyek 11:00-kor, 13:00-kor és 16:00-kor kezdődnek, amelyeket különböző feldolgozó foglalkozások követnek. Mindkét program ingyenes, de regisztrációhoz kötött!
