Once upon a time there was a gypsy bricklayer and his son.

The boy fell in love with a peasant girl and they got married. Did they live happily ever after? The reality is a little more comical than that.

While many people see the majority of Roma as unemployed, Roma workers have long played a prominent role in building houses in Hungary. What can a family achieve in three generations from the 1960s to the present day? And what is the price of change?
